Taylor & Drew

I successfully pulled off one of the best surprises ever, if I do say so myself. It involved keeping a secret for a month and a half from my best friend and roommate- that was definitely hard! But it was so worth it!! Last week Taylor's boyfriend, Drew, of almost 2 years flew down to surprise her here in Ecuador! She had no idea and was completely surprised :) 

Taylor and I have been close for a few years but I never really knew Drew that well. But now we are finally friends! Last week the 3 of us went to Banos- a big tourist town outside of Quito. We did horseback riding, jungle animal tours- we got to play with monkeys :), and the best part for me was the white water rafting! I love getting to know my friend's boyfriends, it is fun to see how they interact and love each other. Taylor and Drew are a great couple who compliment each other perfectly, I am definitely a fan! :)

But my favorite part of Drew's time here, besides just hanging out and finally getting to know him, was their photo shoot in Old Town Quito. I swear photography is hard to mess up when your subjects look this good! The shoot was taken at and around Plaza Grande- the plaza near the President's house. Doing a photo shoot mid day isn't something that common for Ecuadorians, or at least it felt like that, because we got a lot of weird and puzzled looks. We even got a street clown and his dog to jump in a few photos!
